Laura & Ste // Laura Ashley Belsfield Wedding Photography

I was back at one of my favourite venues, the Laura Ashley Belsfield, for Laura and Ste’s stunning wedding day. The Belsfield will always be a bit special for me as it’s where my parents had their honeymoon, more years ago than I think even they can remember! It’s such a beautiful place, in an elevated position with a view over Windermere. It does mean that during preps you can spend a fair bit of time staring out of the window over the lake.. but then when you’ve got such a beautiful bride the lake comes second. Laura Ashley The Belsfield Hotel is a luxury hotel in the Lake District on the Eastern shore of Lake Windermere, in the picturesque village of Bowness. Directly overlooking the “Belle Isle”, it is among the best hotels in Bowness.

These guys are totally my kinda couple. Those who know me know I laugh.. a lot.. all the time actually.. in fact I am a kid in an adult body, and I really hope it stays that way. Anyway, Laura and Ste are basically the same - they’re giggly and smile a lot, usually at each other.. which made my job as their wedding photographer sooooo easy! I don’t ‘do’ posing, I much prefer people to just be together and be themselves, and I’ll stand back and grab the moments. Well yeah, I don’t need to tell you just how easy Laura and Ste made this for me because you can see their love, energy and fun in the images.

It was a beautiful day, from the preparations in the hotel in the morning, to the church service, to prosecco on the coach on the way back to the Belsfield, it was a magical December wedding.
